 A
Triangle Fire, Inc installed and serviced marine fire suppression
system is designed to protect marine vessels of various hazards. Fires
in marine vessels typically start in four types of locations: machinery
spaces, cargo holds, paint lockers and galley areas. In each location,
the presence of flammable liquids, high pressure fuel lines, hot
lubrication oils, solvents and paints can be ignited by electrical
shorts, overheated equipment, hot turbochargers and exhaust pipes. We
have an experienced staff capable of providing you with top quality
products by respected manufacturers.

Ansul Marine Galley R102 Fire Suppression System
ANSUL R-102 Fire Suppression Systems discharge ANSULEX®
Liquid Fire Suppressant, quickly knocking down flames and cooling
hot surfaces, while generating a tough vapor securing blanket that helps prevent reflash. With a nearly neutral pH, ANSUL R-102
systems are exceptionally friendly to cooking equipment.
ANSUL R-102 systems are offered in
two basic designs: appliance-specific, in which nozzles are aimed at
specific hazard areas of
each appliance; and overlapping, where nozzles are arranged to overlap
and provide a “fire-free zone” throughout a group of appliances.
Depending on the kitchen line-up, your trained
ANSUL distributor can design, install and service a system that
offers the ultimate protection for specific facilities.
Ansul Carbon Dioxide Fire Suppression Systems The
original "clean" agent, carbon dioxide suppresses fire without leaving
behind an agent to damage sensitive equipment. And because there is no
agent to clean up, you’re back in business faster. To provide the most
economical system arrangement without sacrificing performance, we offer
both High and Low pressure systems including the exclusive ANSUL®
"Mini-Bulk" tank technology.
ANSUL High Pressure Carbon Dioxide Systems are especially effective for non-occupied hazards
such as semiconductor wet benches, control rooms and paint lines. Whatever the application,
from cylinder to nozzle, each system is custom-designed for your specific fire hazards.
High pressure systems use individual storage cylinders — from 35 lb. (16 kg) to 120 lb. (54 kg)
capacity each — that can be manifolded together for rapid simultaneous discharge. Cylinder
valves can be opened automatically or manually, and either locally or remotely using electric,
pneumatic or mechanical valve actuators.

FES System
An engineered system utilizing a fixed nozzle agent distribution
network, the system is designed and installed in
accordance with the IMO FSS CODE (SOLAS, IMO MSC/ Circ.1267 "Clean Agent
Fire Extinguishing Systems").
When properly designed, the HFC-227ea fire extinguishant system will
suppress surface burning fire in Class A, B, and C hazards.
80% of
HFC-227ea fire extinguishant fire fighting effectiveness is achieved
through heat absorption and 20% through direct chemical means (action of
the fluorine radical on the chain reaction of a flame.
Complete suppression using HFC-227ea fire extinguishant has the
following advantages:
- The low concentration of
HFC-227ea fire extinguishant required means less visual obscurity
and minimal risk to personnel.
- The small quantity of agent discharged minimizes over-pressurization
of the protected area.
- Maximum
safety for personnel due to low toxicity.
- The ability to prevent re-ignition as long as concentration levels
are maintained.

flooding applications on marine vessels. The
system is USCG approval and UL listed. The Kidde
FM-200 Marine ADS System is used to suppress
fires in specific hazards or equipment when an
electrically non-conductive agent is required,
where agent cleanup creates a problem, when
extinguishing capability with a low weight is
desired and where the hazard is normally
occupied. Kidde FM-200 Marine ADS Systems are
intended to protect spaces containing the
following hazards:
- Class A: Surface type fires; wood or other
cellulose-type material

Kidde Marine SBS System
The Kidde Marine SBS System is designed to protect yachts and
commercial vessels of all types. Kidde Marine offers two basic system
configurations of the SBS System: the Sentinel and Sentinel PRO. Both
component packages can be customized to provide the features and
functionality required for the specific application.
Both the Sentinel and the Sentinel PRO packages are high-performance
fire suppression systems that optimize 1) fire detection; 2) fire
suppression agent distribution; and 3) system cylinder placement.
Choose the Sentinel for smaller protected spaces where system
simplicity is desired or choose the Sentinel PRO for vessels with more
complex requirements. Both packages feature engineered system
capabilities with modular system ease.
The SBS System is a “total-flood” fire suppression system that
discharges a gaseous clean agent into the protected space. The agent is
stored under pressure as a liquid and released into the space as a gas.
The gas combines with the air in the space to create an atmosphere
which rapidly suppresses combustion. The SBS System is suitable for
both gasoline and diesel powered vessels.

Sea-Fire H-Series Engineered Systems
H-Series feature
enviromentally responsible FM-200 fire suppressant. Systems are designed
and approved to protect enclosed spaces from 1500 c.f. ( m3) up to
17,500 c.f. ( 500m3).
Systems are IMO/SOLAS tested & approved - USCG, RINA, DNV,
Lloyds/MCA, GL, Transport Canada, Australia & New Zealand Maritme.
Applications include workboats, transport vessels, large scale pleasure
yachts, and onshore/offshore marine applications.
Each custom designed engineereed fire suppression system according to
the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) and provide for Manual,
Automatic & Manual with time delays or electrical release options,
For volumes over 17500 c.f. submittal of system design to the AHJ is
required.
Sea-Fire Pre-Engineered FM-200 FG, FD & MD System
Sea-Fire “FM200” FG, FD
& MD extinguishing systems are designed to induce a minimum
atmospheric concentration of 8.7% within the protected compartment. FG
models are suitable for use from 0 degrees F (-18 degrees C) to 130
degrees F (54 degrees C), FD & MD models from 20 degrees F (-7
degrees C) to 130 degrees F (54 degrees C).
FG & FD models operate automatically “A” through heat activation.
However systems with an “M” designation contain a manual capability
feature. That is, the captain or authorized personnel has the option of
pulling a discharge cable which activates the fire system.
MD models are manual only systems.
